A three-dimensional X chromosome pendant inspired by the structure of one of the human sex chromosomes. Hand sculpted and cast by us in lead-free pewter, it is a small piece of genetics and biology jewelry.
The Design
The familiar X-shaped chromosome is translated into a solid sculptural form, with the surface and proportions giving the pendant more depth than a flat symbol.
Made by Us, From Sculpture to Finish
We create the original sculpture in our Swedish workshop, cast it in lead-free pewter, then oxidize and hand-polish it so the recessed areas remain darker and the raised surfaces catch the light.
