A three-dimensional sea shell pendant cast from an actual natural specimen. We make the mold from the original shell to preserve its natural curves, ridges, and surface character.
The Design
The shell is shaped by growth rather than symmetry imposed by hand, which gives it the subtle irregularities and layered structure that make natural shells so interesting.
Made by Us, From Sculpture to Finish
The original specimen is used to make the mold, allowing us to preserve its natural form in the finished pendant. We cast the piece in lead-free pewter and finish it by hand. The surface is oxidized to bring out the details, then polished by hand.
