A three-dimensional walnut pendant cast from an actual natural specimen. We make the mold from the original nut to preserve its irregular shape and naturally textured shell.
The Design
The deeply ridged shell is what gives a walnut its unmistakable appearance. Those irregular grooves are preserved in the cast, making the surface interesting even when viewed close up.
Made by Us, From Sculpture to Finish
The original specimen is used to make the mold, allowing us to preserve its natural form in the finished pendant. We cast the piece in lead-free pewter and finish it by hand. The surface is oxidized to bring out the details, then polished by hand.
