A hand-carved human skull pendant in an antiqued pewter finish. We have given this version a more tactile, aged surface, allowing the texture and darkened recesses to become part of the design.
The Design
The skull is modeled with attention to the familiar anatomical structure of the human cranium, including the eye sockets, nasal opening, cheekbones, teeth, and jaw.
Made by Us, From Sculpture to Finish
We create the original skull sculpture in our Swedish workshop and cast it in lead-free pewter. For the antiqued finish, we texture and file the surface, oxidize it, and lightly brush it with steel wool rather than polishing it smooth.
