A handmade polar bear claw pendant with an aged, tactile pewter finish. In Sweden, polar bears are sometimes called ice bears, and this piece began with our hand-carved interpretation of the distinctive claw.
The Design
The elongated claw shape is simple and recognizable, with a surface that has been deliberately given more texture and character than our standard polished pewter finish.
Made by Us, From Sculpture to Finish
We create the original form and cast it in lead-free pewter in our Swedish workshop. For this antiqued version, we texture and file the surface, oxidize it, and lightly brush it with steel wool to create its aged appearance.
