A detailed C2 axis vertebra pendant based on the second cervical vertebra of the human spine. Hand sculpted and cast by us in lead-free pewter, it is a compact piece of anatomical bone jewelry.
The Design
The axis is distinctive because of its dens, or odontoid process, which projects upward from the vertebra. The pendant preserves the characteristic structure of the bone while keeping it wearable at a small scale.
Made by Us, From Sculpture to Finish
We create the original sculpture in our Swedish workshop, cast it in lead-free pewter, and finish it by hand. The piece is oxidized to bring out the recessed anatomy and then polished.
