A three-dimensional carambola, or star fruit, pendant cast from an actual natural specimen. We make the mold from the original fruit to preserve its distinctive ridged, star-shaped form.
The Design
The characteristic star shape comes from the fruit's longitudinal ribs. Those ridges give the pendant its recognizable silhouette from every angle.
Made by Us, From Sculpture to Finish
The original specimen is used to make the mold, allowing us to preserve its natural form in the finished pendant. We cast the piece in lead-free pewter and finish it by hand. The surface is oxidized to bring out the details, then polished by hand.
