The Design
The smooth curved shell and narrow opening create the recognizable cowrie profile. The pendant preserves that contrast between the rounded outer form and the more defined underside.
Made by Us, From Sculpture to Finish
The original specimen is used to make the mold, allowing us to preserve its natural form in the finished pendant. We cast the piece in lead-free pewter and finish it by hand. The surface is oxidized to bring out the details, then polished by hand.
