A three-dimensional crab claw pendant cast from an actual natural specimen. We make the mold from the original claw to preserve its articulated form and natural surface.
The Design
The two-part pincer and its jointed base give the claw a strong graphic shape, while the natural contours keep it from looking like a simple symbol.
Made by Us, From Sculpture to Finish
The original specimen is used to make the mold, allowing us to preserve its natural form in the finished pendant. We cast the piece in lead-free pewter and finish it by hand. The surface is oxidized to bring out the details, then polished by hand.
