A three-dimensional hazelnut pendant cast from an actual natural specimen. The mold is made from the original nut so its small, organic form is retained.
The Design
The pendant follows the compact shape and subtle unevenness of a real hazelnut. Its small scale makes the natural outline especially important to the design.
Made by Us, From Sculpture to Finish
The original specimen is used to make the mold, allowing us to preserve its natural form in the finished pendant. We cast the piece in lead-free pewter and finish it by hand. The surface is oxidized to bring out the details, then polished by hand.
