A three-dimensional pendant based on the complex human sphenoid bone, designed for a choker and sculpted by us by hand in lead-free pewter.
The Design
The sphenoid is one of the more complex bones of the skull, with wing-like extensions spreading from a central body. The pendant emphasizes those unusual projecting forms rather than simplifying the bone into a flat shape.
Made by Us, From Sculpture to Finish
The original design is sculpted by us by hand in our Swedish workshop. We cast the piece in lead-free pewter and finish it by hand. The surface is oxidized to bring out the details, then polished by hand.
